Square Enix together with Warner Music Japan and Asobi System have come together to announce the launch of their latest Rhythmic Puzzle Mobile game, DJ Nobunaga (戦国アクションパズル DJノブナガ). Players who are interested in the game can now download it from Japan’s App or Play Store.
DJ Nobunaga is a Rhythmic Puzzle game played with avatars from the Sengoku era. The main story line is to unite the world through EDM, aka DJ Battle.
Unlike most Rhythmic games where you produce a “beat” by tapping on the “buttons”, the gameplay in DJ Nobunaga is slightly different. All you have to do is highlight all the “buttons” to give damage multipliers to your characters. For a Rhythmic game, this is kinda weird as the music does not always match with the “beat”.
Gameplay is simple, all you have to do is tap, slide and highlight the same shapes to increase your combo points. As for the music itself, I’m not really an expert in rhythmic games thus I will not try to be an expert. However personally, I actually like some of the tracks in the game.
