Tencent has announced the Close Beta phase for their upcoming mobile game, PUBG Mobile. Players from Canada can now download the game from the Google Play Store to beta test the game!
PUBG Mobile is the officially licensed mobile version of the original Battle Royale game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The game is made with Unreal Engine 4 and seeks to produce the original PC experience on your mobile devices.
I tested the game on BlueStacks 3 and I must say it gave me a great advantage in terms of hotkey-ing all the essential buttons. I’m not sure how fast you can re-enact these keys on a mobile phone itself but will have to test it once it’s open to iOS.
The main bulk of content is similar to the original PC version which I will not talk about. What I like about the game is the nitty gritty stuff that are found commonly in mobile games such as the Player level, loot boxes and Leaderboard. In the original PC version, the game only tracks your game stats (which is good btw) but it doesn’t give you any sense of “progression”. However, the mobile version included things such as Player levels, daily quest and stuff to make you feel more connected to your account. I know these things are arguable but I really that Tencent implemented these things into the game.
The game should be entering its pre-registration phase pretty soon so stay tune for more information on the game!
