It’s finally here. Final Fantasy Record Keeper, the game that brings nostalgia to all Final Fantasy fans.
In the land of vast magic and art, there is a legend that has been past down from many generations. As a Record Keeper, players are suppose to preserve the memories of all the epic battles that happened between FF I to FF X.
The main protagonist, Deci is a young historian who loves history and is the disciple of the famous Dr. Mog. With the help of Cid (yes who else), Deci will recover the memories of all the FF series and take part in all the epic battles in the past 10 series.
Gameplay
The game utilizes the conventional ATB (Active Time Battle) system in the FF series. Players will be able to collect weapons and armour (gacha), to strengthen your characters. There are also spell materia and summon materia for players to collect. Characters are unlocked after completing certain parts of the story, thus players would not have to worry for not able to collect all the FF heroes. Here are the following characters that players can collect;
There are mix feelings for me about the game. The ATB system is kinda slow for today’s game as it takes about 3-5 second for your turn to attack. Equipment in this game plays a huge part for advancing the story line which also means that it’s leaning towards a pay to win game. There is no friendship point system where you can use their normal gacha. Normal gacha are available 3 times a day at stipulated times. However, the plus point for the game is that, it takes only 3 minutes to recharge 1 stamina point. Auto battle is also useful for leveling up your characters.
The game is out now on the Japanese App/Play store. If you’re a FF fan, this game is definitely a must try.
