Square Enix has recently soft launch their upcoming mobile game, King’s Knight. As of now, I’m not sure which country’s Google Play Store is it on but you can download game’s APK file to have a headstart!
Originally launched 30 years ago, King’s Knight was a scrolling shooting game for the Nintendo Entertainment System that was developed by Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu. Three decades after its original release in Japan, the legendary 8-bit scrolling shooter King’s Knight is back and now available for mobile devices!
King’s Knight is a spin-off game similar to Justice Monsters Five from the upcoming Final Fantasy XV. There are over 50 characters that will accompany you on your quest to learn the true tale of Olthea and the Holy Sword. Each of these characters belong to 1 of the 5 available Jobs; Warrior, Thief, Wizard, Monk and Gigant.
Graphically, the game looks good and the gameplay can be challenging for certain quest requirements. However, I feel that the controls for the game is pretty bad as it is not reactive to the direction you slide. This is an issue if you’re playing on a bigger screen devices. Also, there is a lot of loading (connection to the servers) involve from page to page which is made worst by the current server speed. Hopefully, when the game officially launches, things will improve.
