Square Enix has announced the launch of their latest mobile game, Bravely Default Fairy’s Effect. Players can now download the game from Japan’s Google Play Store or Apple iTunes.
Bravely Default Fairy’s Effect is a turn-based Exploration game played similar to Final Fantasy Grand Masters. Players can choose to play as a Knight, Black Mage, White Mage, Hunter or Thief. Each job has it’s own weapon type and each weapon has it’s own unique skill. Players will need to collect different weapons of different skills to face different difficult situations. You can equip up to 5 different weapons (Skills).
As for the combat, you’ll be placed in an Exploration zone. Players will need to move your characters to the monsters to initiate the fight. Other Players can join in the fight by following the same steps however, each battle can only support 4 Players.
Combat is mostly automated but Players can select different skills to cast manually. Also, you can dodge the monster’s area attack by moving away from the red rectangles. Strategic positioning of characters is important especially when you face the higher level raid bosses.
To be honest, I still prefer Bravely Archive compared to this game and am still hoping that Square Enix will publish the game in English. I’m still quite skeptical about mobile games without the Energy System and Co-op system.
