Forwardworks has announced the launch of their first mobile game, Everybody’s Golf (みんゴル). Players who are interested in the game can now download the game from Japan’s App or Play Store.
Also known as Hot Shots Golf in North America back in 1997, Everybody’s Golf is the first mobile game to be published by Forwardworks, a new company started by Sony Computer Entertainment, aimed to deploy new services toward the ever-expanding smart device market. The mobile version is developed by Drecom, the makers of Full Bokko Heroes.
Controls are a little tricky to understand at the start since I cannot read Japanese. However, it became intuitive after my first Bogey round. Players will need to tap, hold and drag the bar to the desired “Power” you want. When you’re satisfied, you’ll need to release your hold when the converging circle overlaps the small white circle. It’s like playing 2 mini games trying to coordinate both controls.
At the start of the game, there isn’t many options available to customize your character. This is because the game’s main Gacha is the Apparels banner and the Outlook Banner. There is no separate “Gem” currency in the game, thus whatever Gold you earn can be used to Gacha for Items.
Lastly, besides the normal Stages, you’ll also be able to participate up to 8-Players battle.
