BlueStacks Games – Guns of Glory

If you have followed my site for the past 4 years, you’ll know that I’m not really a fan of Castle-builder games. However, I am curious to know how these games get popular and always garner tons of downloads. Today I will play a Castle-builder game called Guns of Glory which had over 10 million downloads on Google Play.

Overview

In Guns of Glory, you take the lead as a rising Lord in a Kingdom thrown into war! To become supreme ruler and seize the Crown of Destiny from the devious Cardinal, you’ll ally with the famous Three Musketeers, slay ferocious beasts, build your own magnificent Castle, engineer an unstoppable Airship, rally with friends to destroy enemies, and more!

Gameplay

The game is pretty much similar to every our castle management games. You build a Lumber Yard to collect wood, you use wood to build buildings to train your troops and you’ll also need to build Farms to feed your Soldiers.

Combat wise, you can choose to fight enemies in the wild for some loot, occupy key resources area, or pillage other player’s castle for more resources.

Starting the game now can be a little daunting as the game is already 1 year old. There are tons of content out that there that will overwhelm you. However if you can get past the distraction, the game is actually pretty simple and straightforward to pick up.

After about 10 minutes of gameplay, I hit my first time-block while leveling my castle from level 3 to 4. This is where I realised the importance of having a active Alliance. You can actually ask your Alliance members for help to reduce the time needed to upgrade your buildings.

Furthermore, there are tons of things you can do together with your Alliance such as War, Donations, Buffs and Hero management.

Verdict

I proceeded to play the game for another 30 minutes and find myself with more countdown timers on my castle buildings. Personally, I feel that the game is similar to all other Castle Builders out there. However, to have over 10 million downloads within a year, there’s definitely something unique and interesting in the game which I have not come across in this 45 minutes of gameplay.

If you’re a fan of Castle management and the RTS genre, you should give Guns of Glory a try. Download the game on BlueStacks using the link below if you would like to support my site. It’ll only take a minute of your time to feed my next meal~
