The Pokemon Company has recently announced the upcoming collaboration with Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece. The special collaboration is meant to support the rebuilding of Kumamoto City which was hit by an earthquake in 2016.
From July 22nd to July 29, Players will be able to catch Strawhat Pikachu worldwide. Trainers will also be able to acquire their very own straw hat that’s just like the one Monkey D. Luffy wears.
Also, there will be a special statue which doubles as a Pokestop placed in Kumamoto. Not only is it made to commemorate the city building efforts but also to celebrate the third anniversary of Pokemon Go and twenty second anniversary of One Piece.
