NetEase has announced some updates for Harry Potter: Magic Awakened during their 520 Game Conference yesterday. The game will begin Open beta on May 29 for iOS and Android users in China.
The game sets a few years after the events of the Second Wizarding War. Players will take on the role of a new Wizard who have just received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. From there, you will start your journey as a young wizard, making new friends and learning spells along the way.
I’m not quite sure exactly how the game plays like but based on a few videos I’ve watched on YouTube, it seems like a mixture of tell-tale plus card summoning type game. It is not known whether the game will head to the west but since this is a official authorized game, there should be an English version in the future.
