A new hero has been added to Raziel: Dungeon Arena, the gorgeous 3D action-RPG from developer Indrasoft. She’s called Sarah “Pirrosa” Mander, and she’s an elven druid.
But that’s not all. The game’s huge Halloween introduces a number of other new features, including a mercenary system, Guild Resource Wars, gear sets, and Halloween costumes.
Before we dig into all the new stuff, let’s recap on the game. Raziel: Dungeon Arena is an absolutely stunning ARPG with breathtakingly high-end production values, as you can see in the trailer below.
The gameplay involves collecting heroes, battling bosses, raiding dungeons, and more, either solo in the single-player mode or with friends in co-op. Enemies and bosses possess spatial awareness and a host of unique skills, forcing you to think on your feet the whole time.
Raziel: Dungeon Arena only arrived a month or so ago, but it hit the mobile app stores like a luxury asteroid, quickly racking up a stellar review score average of 4.8/5 on the App Store.
And now it’s even better thanks to Pirrosa Mander, the powerful druid who reluctantly joins the human race in its battle against the teeming undead. Mander can launch ranged fire spells and shapeshift, making her a useful partner for melee characters like Bison and Rock.
You can unlock Pirrosa Mander for free by collecting Blazing Mysterious Shards or Almighty Shards, and once she’s yours she’s yours forever.
The new sidekick system, meanwhile, lets you recruit mercenary companions to join you in battle for a bit of extra firepower. These mercenaries all come with their own unique special powers, and you can equip them with weapons and armor, giving you enormous scope of tweaking and customization.
Indrasoft has also added Tavern Challenges to the game, as well as Demon Land floors, new World Map zones, and a hard mode for chapters 1-5 of the main campaign.
Plus, there’s a whole new gameplay mode called Guild Resource War, which intensifies rivalries between competing guilds by giving guild members the opportunity to enter dungeons twice a day to accumulate points for their guilds.
