NCSoft has announced the pre-registration campaign for the upcoming Lineage W mobile game. The game is slated to launch worldwide in 2021 and will also be available on the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5.
Earlier today, there was a Lineage W Showcase and here are some of the pointers that makes the game worth waiting:
- Chief Creative Officer Taek-Jin Kim introduced the game as “a project that pursues the ultimate Lineage”. Kim highlighted that “Lineage W is a compilation of the Lineage IP over the last 24 years.
- The game is now in 3D so as to better show things that are impossible to show or difficult to create in 2D. For example, big raid bosses, a more dynamic environment for tactical gameplay and to allow Players to be more immersed in the world of Lineage W.
- Unlike its predecessors, Lineage W will have more narrative allowing Players to know more about the lore of Lineage. Each class will have its own unique storyline. There will be more narrative elements in the game.
- Players will be able to take part in large scale, real-time battles globally.
- An in-game AI translation system to help Players from different countries understand each other’s language. There’s also a in-game text to speech feature.
- Information on the game’s system such as items, boss spawn timings and location are made available more easily to allow new users a chance to access these contents.
