While the Tokyo Ghoul EX event is still a fair few months away, we’ve got some more information regarding one of the exhibits in particular.

Within the exhibition, there is a theatre that showcases the iconic fight scene between Ken Kaneki and Yamori (also known as Jason of the 13th Ward). If you’ve seen the anime already, you know just how crucial this battle is to the series.

Learn more about the exhibition via the official website of Tokyo Ghoul EX.

Kaneki Versus Jason (Yamori)

Kaneki cracks his fingers as he’s tied to a chair before he breaks his chains and unleashes himself upon Yamori. What follows is an intense usage of both parties Kagune, with Kaneki displaying his powers in full.

As for how the immersive theatre plans to adapt this into a 4D experience, the venues have a vibrating floor that rumbles in time with the battle. That’s all we know about the theatre exhibit for now, but there’s some more information to share!

New Character Art and Merchandise

Miwa Kazuhiro and Nakajima Atsuko, the artists behind the character designs, have created a set of drawings of some of the major characters from both Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re.

These drawings appear on new pieces of merchandise that will be available at the exhibition to purchase in both Tokyo and Osaka. One of which is a pin set of 15 characters, that is only purchasable alongside a ticket.

There’s also a teaser regarding Kaneki’s mask, which looks to be a screenshot of 3D modelling software with a frontal and side view of the legendary face gear. It’s not clear what this has to do with Tokyo Ghoul EX just yet though.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original airing, Tokyo Ghoul EX takes place in Tokyo at the Terada Warehouse G1 Building between October 21 and December 1. Then, on December 14, the exhibition moves to the Grand Green Osaka venue in the prefecture of Osaka until December 29.

Don’t head off just yet! If you like Tokyo Ghoul, you may also be a One Piece fan. We recently reported on the CASETIFY x One Piece collaboration which features some amazing pieces of gear for your phone.
