Fields of Mistria the game which marries Strawdew Valley with Sailor Moon enters early access today. This whimsical title is a single-player RPG Farming Simulator where players help restore a nestled village to its former glory after a devastating earthquake.

Much like Stardew Valley, this pixel adventure introduces you to a roster of NPCs to help on quests, romance and build everlasting bonds. Fields of Mistria has over 30 eloquently designed 90s-anime-nostalgia characters for players to befriend and adore.

Unlike Strawdew Valley though, Field of Mistria has a land weaving with magic for you to uncover on your path to restoration. Channelling your inner Usagi, players use magic to aid themselves in fun tasks from fishing to mining, crafting and combat.

Or, take a step back and enjoy the more humble farmstead life. Customise your entire gameplay from character, home, and farm. You can even selectively breed animals to discover rare design variants.

Fields of Mistria mimics reality with a change in seasons and weather, and what’s available to the player during them. Each Saturday, the villagers host a cosy market with unique vendors and wares for you to look forward to.

Join The Early Access

The Early Access is forecast to last around a year, with participating players contributing feedback to tailor future updates during this period, and final game alterations. As expected, the Early Access doesn’t display a fully fleshed storyline, systems or in-game features.

Early Access players get a sample of the 1.0 Release for a fraction of the price. Head to Steam to check out more game details including how to participate in the Early Access. By joining, you’ll be singlehandedly helping the DEVs refine the game before its full launch.
