Momo and Ken are coming to theatres! The Dandadan First Encounter cinema showings are set to screen on September 13 in both the UK and Ireland.
If you can’t make it to the Dandadan screenings, you can watch it on Netflix from October, or catch up with the manga!
The official release window for the anime is October this year, but the Dandadan cinema experience gives fans the chance to see the first 3 episodes a few weeks early.
Dubbed, ‘Dan Da Dan: First Encounter’, fans of the series also get to watch a recorded interview with those who worked on the adaptation, as well as the main author, Yukinobu Tatsu.
Where Are The Dandadan First Encounter Showings?
Nobody knows where the participating venues are, or if there is only one location per region. For example, Dublin in Ireland and London in the UK.
The latter makes sense, as most premieres take place in the capital city. This is guesswork for now though until we get more information!
The official poster for the Dandadan First Encounter screenings includes the words ‘worldwide theatrical premiere’, but as of right now, there’s only an announcement regarding the UK and Ireland. Perhaps more locations and participating countries will be revealed soon!
About Dandadan
Dandadan is a sci-fi comedy romance centering around Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura. Momo likes ghosts, and Ken thrives on stories about aliens. Despite their theories, they soon encounter phenomena that are out of this world… literally.
A lovable cast of characters gets introduced, a ton of humour is injected, and a satisfyingly heartwarming romantic story starts to bloom.
Looking forward to seeing the silly scenarios the characters of Dandadan get up to? For more outrageous shenanigans, we covered the new Lollipop Chainsaw RePop release date. I reckon it’s a game Momo would love, it’s a zombie hack-and-slash game after all!
