Anime Royale META Units Guide

META is an important and ever-shifting term to follow in Tower Defense games. Essentially, a META implies the height of performance for that unit type in the present day.

For example, on release, we may have 2 Farm units and must decide the best for cash generation per wave between them. The winner of this title becomes deemed the current META unit until a stronger Farm opponent knocks them off that ranking.

With that out the way, let’s get into the current META units in Anime Royale! Don’t miss out on the current META units by bookmarking this page and checking back for new entries.

Stabs – DPS/Stun META

Stabs takes his inspiration from Shanks from One Piece. He’s a Mythic unit with a 0.25% pull chance from Summons 1. Not only does he enjoy an evolution, but his base unit stats alone have META values.

On placement at level 1, he has 5 upgrades totalling 42,000 DMG, a Stun status effect and full AOE. Thanks to the versatility of this unit, he’s highly sought after and deserves a spot on the current META list.

Friend – DPS/Hill META

A Friend to you, a foe to enemies! Friend, based on Frieren, is the first Secret unit in Anime Royale and is only obtainable through Rifts with varying chances depending on Rift rarity.

Friend is a hill unit, meaning she may only be placed in perches across the map. Unfortunately, Friend only has a placement of 1 so you’ll need to choose carefully where she sits to maximise DMG output.

When maxed out after placement, she gains a move which performs multi-hit regardless of her Target!

Nemo – Farm META

Whilst Lawlight is also a Farm unit and a rarer one at that, Nemo has a higher placement making her more versatile. She’s cheaper to deposit on a map and cheaper to upgrade. If you level her up using EXP items, you’ll be able to rake in riches per wave!

As mentioned, she isn’t all that hard to obtain from Summons. Nemo is a Rare unit with a 27.5% pull rate.
