Anime Vanguards Renguko Guide
Everybody’s favourite Fire Hashira has arrived in Anime Vanguards! Update 0.5 introduced Renguko, an exclusive unit inspired by Kyojuro Rengoku from Demon Slayer.
How To Obtain
To get your hands on this unit, you must unlock Raids, which you can do by completing all Acts in the different Story Modes. This includes Planet Namak, Sand Village, and the Double Dungeon.
After that, you can enter a Raid by going to the Lobby and heading to the ‘Raids’ area. Now, you must work through the Spider Forest Acts until you reach Act 4. This is where you can obtain Renguko. However, he isn’t guaranteed, as he only has a very slim 1% drop chance.
If you want to improve your chances of getting him, you can purchase a Fortune Catalyst from the Raid Shop for 400 Red Webs. Red Webs are a new currency introduced in the update, and you can get them as a reward when completing raids. This catalyst increases his drop chance by 2%.
Renguko Abilities
Renguko comes with a few abilities, however, some are for his evolved form only. Let’s go through them!
- Flame Breathing
- Inflicts the Burn status effect, which deals 30% of the total DMG
- Unwavering Focus
- Increases DMG by 5%. However, this only works on the same enemy, and it goes for 4 attacks (bringing it to 20%)
- You get this ability when evolving him into Renguko (Purgatory)
- Purgatory Unleashed
- Inflict Burn damage that is equal to 60%. Opponents are hit with Purgatory Flames, causing them to take 40% Burn DMG
- This ability is also for his evolved form!
Renguko (Purgatory)
You can evolve Renguko into the Renguko (Purgatory) unit, which is how you get his Unwavering Focus and Purgatory Unleashed abilities.
