Jujutsu Odyssey Black Flash Guide
A Black Flash happens by chance after consecutive hits on an opponent, dealing more damage and submerging the player’s fist in striking black and red bolts of electricity. At the same time, the player restores 10% of their HP when a Black Flash successfully connects to an enemy, and they enter an amped state, where the Black Flash punch deals 120% DMG. (Base DMG +20%)
Without having this skill unlocked, players have a 1% chance for it to trigger naturally during combat whilst landing connecting hits. Otherwise, it’ll need unlocking through awakening by completing a questline.
When awakened, Black Flash adopts a Black Flash Meter which fills with each hit. This allows the player to perform Black Flashes consistently each time the meter fills.
Obtaining Black Flash
Less fortunate players who don’t awaken it naturally will take the usual route. This involves becoming level 50+ and visiting the Riku NPC. Riku rests in the Forest, sitting against a tree. Their quest involves defeating 5 Sorcerers in return for +2,500 EXP and +1,500 Gold.
Next, at level 60+ and after completing the first quest, visit the Mizuki NPC at Jujutsu Tech. The second part of this questline requires the player to defeat 20 Cage Boxers. In return, they gain +3,300 EXP and +2,000 Gold.
Finally, the Himari NPC found at New Shadow Style Training Grounds allows players level 100+ to try their quest. The final instalment of obtaining Black Flash requires the player to land a successful Black Flash in return for +6,000 EXP, +4,500 Gold and the Black Flash awakening.
