Whilst the Dan Da Dan opening plays on repeat, I’ve been busy finding out all there is to know about the Anime Royale Okarun unit. I’ll talk you through how to obtain him, whether he can evolve, and some recommended traits to use.

You can play Anime Royale on Roblox. Fancy a friend? Well, you can go and get one by checking out our Anime Royale Friend Guide!

Anime Royale Okarun Guide

Okarun is known in-game as Otakurun, and he is inspired by Ken Takakura (also known as Okarun) from the Dan Da Dan anime and manga.

He is a mythical ground-type unit that only has a placement count of one. This is a little odd, and it makes gameplay a lot harder as you have to think more about where to place him on the field.

Luckily, you can upgrade him a total of 5 times, with each upgrade being more expensive than the last. Deployment costs a rather expensive 1,600¥, but upgrading him does make him a lot stronger.

How To Obtain

You can get Okarun, alongside the other units introduced in the Halloween update, by opening Capsules. You can get these by participating in the Halloween event. This is only available for a limited time, meaning Okarun is too!

Considering he is a mythical unit, the chances of obtaining him are slim… so it may take a few Capsules before you manage to get him.

Okarun Evolution

I’m sure the question on everybody’s mind is… can you evolve him? Unfortunately, the answer is no. This is a bit unusual since he’s a mythical unit… a rarity that almost always evolves into a stronger form.

The most recent Halloween update added units that cannot be evolved, regardless of their rarity. If at a later date, he does experience an evolution, I will update this post and tell you everything you need to know. I recommend you bookmark this page and regularly check back so you don’t miss out.

Recommended Traits

Since Okarun only has one placement and no evolved form, using a trait on him is recommended. You can spin for traits by heading to the ‘Traits’ building in the lobby and rolling for one there. One reroll costs 1 Trait Crystal.

Let’s take a look at some of the best options!
