Boltrend Games has announced the launch for the English version of Arc The Lad R. Players who are interested in the game can now download it from your local App or Play Store.
Arc The Lad R is a sequel to the original Arc The Lad series. The story begins 10 years after the events in Arc The Lad 2.
Arc The Lad R is a simple Strategy RPG played in portrait mode. Attacking enemies strategically using exclusive skills of heroes and commanding them to attack from either the front, side, or back of the enemy can deal extra damage. I haven’t played the original Arc the Lad but it’s actually quite funny to see your characters constantly jumping over the enemy to gain the “back of the enemy” advantage.
As the game was first launched in Japan in 2018, many features in the game such as the User Interface, Character Development and Quest system can be a little outdated compared to games from recent years. I remember playing the Japanese version and was quite impressed with the cutscenes and its bubble dialogues however, it’s 2021 now and cutscenes without any voice-over can be a little disappointing. The good thing is, Players can now skip the cutscenes!
