Due to a suspected Netflix data breach, upcoming DAN DA DAN and Ranma 1/2 have unfortunately had at least a couple of episodes leaked, alongside their opening and outro tracks. This happened ahead of both series scheduled release on the streaming platform this October.
Whilst Netflix has not provided confirmation nor a statement regarding the source of the Dan Da Dan and Ranma 1/2Â leaks, the denominator lies with the streaming site which will host both titles. Alongside DAN DA DAN and Ranma 1/2, the Mononoke: Karakasa Movie also on Netflix leaked recently.
The opening and outro songs have been widespread across X (formerly Twitter) over the last 24 hours including song and visuals. However, with plenty of time between now and their debut on Netflix, the team working on both Anime respectively may fund new opening and outro sequences.
Not much can said or done for the numerous episodes per Anime that have also circulated the internet post-breach. Anticipated fans of either or both titles have been recommended to avoid X where the bloom of spoilers tends to be most rampant.
Are The DAN DA DAN and Ranma 1/2 Leaks Legit?
Leaks across all platforms and media have fooled in the past. However, given the authenticity of the branding and credits per each opening and outro, it seems enough to convince the masses that these leaks are indeed real.
Further supporting this are fans who attended the July Anime Expo 2024 and saw the unfolding of the DAN DA DAN Anime World Premiere, who confirm the similarities are uncanny. The leaks currently circulate X in Japanese without subtitles, giving a lack of context to the overall plot, and offering a sense of relief to fans attempting to remain spoiler-free.
