Garena just held their Garena Carnival over the weekend and lucky for me, I was there to snoop around, checking out on the girls games.
Garena Carnival was a 2 day event held at Singapore’s Suntec City. True to their words, the event was “Twice the size, Twice the Fun” compared to their previous Carnival. The carnival featured their line of games such as Path of Exile, League of Legends, Blackshot, Thunder Strike, Core Masters and Fifa Online.
The League of Legends, TLC SG Spring Finals was also held during day 2 of the carnival. Team Nyan Zone managed to pull a comeback from hot favorites Insidous Gaming, proving themselves that they are the best LOL team in Singapore. You can read their interview here.
What’s a game carnival without Cosplayers? All the way from South Korea, Garena managed to invite 2 gorgeous Cosplayers, Aza Miyuko and Hori to be the guest judges for the Cosplay event. While not a Cosplay fan myself, I was still impressed by the outfits made by some of these participants. There was a guy who Cosplayed as Fiddlesticks who was on “bouncing stilts”, pretty Ashe with LED bow and a few Ahris wagging their tails.
Thanks to the girls at Girlaxy, one of the 2 All-Girls E-Sports team in Singapore, I was able to secure a ticket for the event and found out the mystery mobile game that Garena had been hiding.
Dragon Quest Monsters Super Light
After a long 18 months since it first debut in Japan, the English version of Dragon Quest Monsters Super Light is finally coming to the SEA region. DQMSL is a dungeon crawler cum turn-based mobile game where players will be able to gather different monsters from the Dragon Quest world.
Pre-registration is underway and the game will most likely release some time mid July. Players will be able to participate in the FlyingGacha event for the pre-registration to “book” yourself a high ranking monster before the game starts.
Once again, congratulations to Garena for organizing such a successful event and also thanks to the girls at Girlaxy for the tickets!
