Ghoul RE Ghoul Progression Guide – Hunger and RC
Ghouls prowl the night, preying on unsuspecting humans to replenish their hunger and increase their strength and metabolism. Each consumption generates more power, so a Ghoul’s primary goal is to maintain their hunger by killing and devouring humans, NPCs, and other Ghouls.
This feeds into their Kagune’s power, an appendage capable of executing with brutal force. Each Kagune fights uniquely, adopting different killing tactics from projectiles, to close range, piercing, and more.
Eating provides more than just power. Ghouls can regenerate quickly if their hunger is well-maintained. This makes turning the tides of battle as simple as keeping your stomach full. Ideally, this means in a Ghoul’s final evolutionary stages, the only way to defeat them would be to drain their hunger before their health.
Awaking Your Kagune
Now you know the importance of a hearty meal, let’s move on to explaining the extra limb.
Awaking a Kagune requires 5,000k RC Cells (obtained through kill and devour), and a B+ rank to stabilize. Before then, its easier to fight with fists as the Kagune isn’t well adapted to combat and may become a hindrance due to costing hunger to use, and having no skills.
The closer the player is to this prestige, the faster their heartbeat. If they store enough RC and drop below 50% health, their Kagune will automatically awaken and trigger.
Kagune Stages
As you devour more entities, your Kagune will ‘Evolve’ taking on new appearances and skills. The order is as follows:
- Increase RC Cell Count
- Each Kagune has a different RC requirement for its beginning prestige. This is typically dependant on its rarity and how many stages it has in total.
- Eat Kagune Sacs and Kagune Fragments
- Some Kagunes have fragments named after them, which the player must find and devour to enhance their skills and power.
- (Rinkaku, Bikaku, Koukaku, and Ukaku)
- Devour a Ghoul
- The final step involves killing and eating a fellow Ghoul. The victim must have 1/3rd of the required RC to evolve the consumer.
Ghoul Rankings
Each Rank requires +5 Points to unlock. So, when at maximum rank, the player will have accumulated 50 Points.
- C Rated – Beginning Rank
- B Rated
- B+ Rated
- Kagune becomes stable and the player can now consume Kagune Sacs.
- A-Rated
- A+ Rated
- S-Rated
- S+ Rated
- SS-Rated
- SS+ Rated
- SSS Rated – Maximum Rank
