We’ve teamed up with the people at 14 Hours Productions to give you the chance to claim an exclusive item in Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago.
It’s just launched on Mobile after arriving on Steam back in May, and offers up a truly adorable tamagotchi style experience – with some serious upgrades.
Namely as it offers up a whole RPG style adventure as well, with an epic story coming as standard. You are a Guardian Spirit of the realm, who is tasked by the Fairy Queen to raise an elf to help battle the Frog Lord. He’s more intimidating than he sounds, trust us.
To do this you have to raise your elf from an egg. And much like with a tamagotchi, you have to make sure they aren’t exposed to harsh climates and dangerous creatures – and also maintain their mood via their energy, health and hygiene levels.
Other than raising the little fella you also have to take care of yourself. You can boost your strength, dexterity and intelligence through a range of mini-games, and also gain gold by completing quests. This gold can then buy food, potions, and equipment to buff your character further.
So there’s a lot going on here, and there are even idle gameplay elements wisely incorporated – meaning this feels very much at home on mobile. You can stack up to five different tasks for your character to work on while you’re away from the screen, and they’ll let you know when your input is needed.
