Square Enix has announced the launch of their latest mobile game, Grimms Notes. The game is now available on both Japan’s App and Play Store. If you’re into Fairy Tale’s, you’ll definitely want to check this one out.
With the recent influx of the Fairy Tale genre, how can mobile game giant, Square Enix miss out on it. Grimms Notes is Square Enix’s very own take on the Fairy Tale genre.
Imagine living in a world where your fate is sealed and written in a Fairy Tale, where you’re unable to change your life or live the way you want. In Grimm Notes, Players will take on a role of a young commoner who’s life is not being recorded in any books. Players will enter the world of Fairy Tale and change the characters fate by erasing everything written in the book and giving them a new life.
Controls for the game are pretty simple. Players can slide your screen to move your characters and tap on the monsters to attack them. Although you can only control one character at any point in time, you can still cast skills for other party members by tapping their portraits. The game feels like a combination of a few top AA titles combined into one. For example, the art style and evolution system looks vaguely familiar to Bravely Archieve D’s Report. The town-simulation and no stamina system reminds me of White Cat Project.
I would like to show your some gameplay video but the game went into maintenance as I was rolling for my 5* so here’s a the PV for the game.
