HIPSHOP, a Japanese undergarments retailer revealed their new series of underwear in collaboration with Piapro yesterday. The lineup consists of six new underpants stunting vibrant designs with facts about the character on the front, and a PNG headshot on the rear.

Included in this unique collaboration are designs for Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, Meiko, and Kaito.

Each design features a close-up headshot of their feature image PNG illustrated by KEI or iXiama respectively, with their name on the waistband. The front shows the full-art PNG with facts about their Age, Height, Weight, software release date, and visual trademarks.

This isn’t the first time HIPSHOP has released colourful and interesting designs. Previously, the brand has collaborated with anime titans, Pokémon, One Piece, Dragon Ball, and plenty more notable series.

The Piapro garments retail for 2,800 Yen (Approximately 18.50 USD or 14.50 GBP) per design. HIPSHOP describes the underpants as seamless with a clean silhouette. The 60% polyester blend allows for quick drying and comfortable stretch, wicking away sweat and maintaining hygiene. They’re also reversible thanks to the dual-sided designs and clever construction. Despite only releasing men’s sizes (M, L, LL), the brand states the Piapro collaboration can be worn by women too.

Currently, all but the Miku underwear have been released, with our favourite blue-hair blue-tie hiding in your WiFi digital singer releasing through pre-orders online. Orders will arrive in a box featuring the selected Vocaloid on the front.

The brief pop-up stores in Shibuya Parco and Laketown Outlet proved popular, with most designs selling out. Those fortunate enough to attend could enjoy their new garments in a stylish paper bag featuring the Vocaloids.
