At first glance, Miraibo GO doesn’t necessarily look unique. It looks, on the surface, quite a lot like PalWorld and Pokemon GO. You don’t have 1 million pre-registrations without being a game that’s worth playing though.
As Miraibo GO—from developer Dreamcube—somehow manages to pull off the trick of paying obvious tribute to one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time while simultaneously being its own thing entirely.
To find out how, read on.
But first things first. Miraibo GO is a gorgeous, sprawling open-world survival game that sees you exploring a vast fantasy region in search of Miras. Miraibo GO’s gameworld consists of deserts, wintry mountains, lush grasslands, and more, all stunningly rendered and steeped in atmosphere.
The Miras that you’re hunting are basically monsters, in all shapes and sizes. There are aquatic Miras, and flying Miras, and a huge number of land-dwelling Miras. Some of them look like hulking dinosaurs, while others look like fluffy rodents.
They are reptilian, avian, mammalian, but most of all they’re weird and wonderful and entirely fantastical.
Every Mira in Miraibo GO has its own personality, as well as its own combat strengths and weaknesses, and its own elemental orientation.
There are over 100 Miras to collect (by weakening them with weapons and then trapping them in special hi-tech balls) which means you’re going to end up with a huge amount of tactical depth at your disposal as you grow your stable of monsters.
So far so familiar.
There are three types of server to join in Miraibo GO: free, VIP, and Guild, where up to 24 players can cooperate simultaneously. Each world has its own save file, so you don’t have to worry about a disaster in one of them affecting your fortunes in the others.
Here’s where Miraibo GO departs from its competitors in the monster-hunting genre. The Mira that you catch in Miraibo GO aren’t just for battling with. They also help build and maintain your stronghold.
Out on the plains, you can ride your mounts and deploy your other Mira in battles with a variety of fantastical creatures. Back at your stronghold, you can set them to work on the farm, or task them with some construction work, or send them out to gather resources.
In return for their service, and to keep them fighting fit, you need to train, feed, water, and generally care for your Miras as if they were a real life army of unlikely yet adorable creatures.
Like many multiplayer mobile games, Miraibo GO has a guild system. But not the usual random assemblages of indifferent strangers. Instead, Miraibo GO’s guilds are headed by famous content creators like Nizar GG and NeddyTheNoodle.
Throughout the game’s Super Guild Assembly event, which kicked off the moment Miraibo GO went live, you can join a chosen creator’s guild through a unique onelink and compete to win a host of rewards. You can even team up with players via the game’s dedicated Discord channel.
To celebrate this launch event, Dreamcube is also giving away a special gift, redeemable with the code MR1010, and that’s on top of all the rewards you can already claim because Miraibo GO surpassed all of its pre-registration milestones.
That means, if you start playing Miraibo GO right now, you’ll begin your campaign with a special avatar frame, a 3 day VIP package, various Mira-catching tools, and more.
To get started, head to the Google Play Store, the App Store, or the Miraibo GO website and download the game for free.
