A new character has officially been announced! Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact Kite makes an appearance. With it comes his Crazy Slots ability and the infamous weapons he used throughout the anime.
The trailer shows Kite using his Carbine (which resembles a long handgun). And his iconic Scythe which he used against the Chimers Ants. Of course, Kite isn’t Kite without his Crazy Slots Nen Ability, which the trailer also shows him activating. Resembling the anime, a cut scene plays out where Crazy Slots spins a random number, with each number conjuring a weapon. You can view the trailer below.
At the moment, it’s unknown if the number (and therefore the weapon) you get is random. If it is, it will perfectly replicate the anime and will make players need to be strategic with how they play in battle, as each opponent you face has their own Nen abilities.
Crazy Slots has 9 weapons altogether, but the anime only showed 3 of them. The Scythe (number 2), Mace (number 3), and the Carbine (number 4). Fans have been theorizing for years about what his other weapons are. Many believe him to have a Katana as well as a resurrection ability. This is solely due to what Ging told Gon in the 13th Chairman Election Arc, as he explains that the “Crazy Slots ability has a number that only comes up when Kite desperately does not want to die.”
It’s very unlikely that Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact will showcase any weapons that Kite didn’t use or weren’t shown in the anime and manga. The game appears to stay canon, with each character’s weapons being what they had in the anime. For example, Gon uses Jajanken and Hisoka uses Bungee Gum.
What Other Characters Are Available?
The upcoming fighting game isn’t shy of having a variety of characters available. Of course, the core four of Gon, Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika make an appearance.
Other iconic characters such as Hisoka, Meruem, Chrollo, Bisky, and Netero are all featured. The game also includes lesser-known characters like Razor and Genthru, along with Morel and a few members of the Phantom Troupe.
