Hunters Classes Guide
While the game doesn’t have defined classes, the weapon types available hint towards them; your main weapon of choice will influence your build, overall strength, and what skills are available.
Weapons – The Way To Define Your Class
Weapons come in four types, each with corresponding available skills which you roll for. This includes:
- Daggers – Thief/Assassin Build
- Daggers attack quickly, piercing enemies several times, but are typically weaker than the alternatives.
- Greatsword – Knight Build
- Sturdy and heavy, Greatswords attack enemies slowly but deal immense damage when striking.
- Sword – Knight Build
- Swords are well-balanced; they deal average damage and have average speed.
- Staff – Mage Build
- The staffs are also well-balanced; they have average speed and deal average damage from close and long-range.
Armour
Armour is less important when defining your Class. So long as you have good armour, you can just about survive anything that the dungeons throw at you.
Your armour doesn’t need to match your weapon, and you can mix and match based on what set has the highest HP stats. Armours typically categorise into Knights and Mages.
Best Build In Hunters – Mages
You may assume that the best build is whatever has the highest base damage, but this isn’t necessarily true. As mentioned, you don’t need to focus on your Armour build too much, and I recommend just equipping whatever your highest set is. Weapons, however, have a lot more diversity, and you should pay attention to your rolls.
The current META in Hunters are Staff builds! Those who equip a mage’s staff get the upper hand in dungeons, thanks to this weapon’s synergy with skills and overall diversity. Mages have more skill options from long and close-range attacks, as well as self-healing moves.
Not only that, but they begin with average stats, so they aren’t any weaker if its skills are on cooldown, and M1 is the only option.
