Not all magical girls are created equal, some burst onto the scene with unparalleled power, whilst others become clouded like grief seeds. This Madoka Exedra Tier List ranks each unit from best to worst so you know which Puella Magi to venture with!

What Each Tier Means

If you’re uncertain about some magical girl placements, this section details the requirements to qualify for that tier. Feel free to skip over this section if you already understand how tiers work.

  • S: The strongest Puella Magi! These few fight witches with ease and have great synergy when paired with other S-Tier characters. They show excellent combat adaptability, expressing versatile moves, with no obvious weaknesses.
  • A: Great alternatives to the S-Tier if you need to fill out your team more or are struggling to obtain those in the highest tier. Despite not making it into the strongest ranks, you’d be a fool to dismiss the power and skills of these Puella Magi.
  • B: Nestled into the average tier, these Puella Magi walk a fine line between being decent or kind of mid. They’re just simply average!
  • C: While these magical girls have escaped the worst tier, they’re not off the hook. They’re easily replaceable, and their skills and combat stance don’t hold much leverage over enemies, especially heading into the mid to late game.
  • D: The weakest magical girls… These lacklustre few are niche choices amongst players and are rarely anybody’s favourite combat companion.
