With the decade-long anime finally reaching its conclusion, Eiichiro Oda, the mastermind behind the 25-year-long One Piece project will be honouring My Hero Academia reaching the finale pages of its story by drawing next week’s cover art.

The ending chapter of the My Hero Academia manga releases on August 5th, 2024. This means the end for the superhero shounen which has amassed millions of fans during its production. Luckily, the Anime will continue airing new episodes until it has caught up to the manga and completed the story.

Kohei Horikoshi expressed gratitude towards Eiichiro Oda for his collaborative contribution to the send-off of his works. The My Hero Academia creator has in the past created fanart of Eiichiro Oda’s characters and work such as his MHA protagonist Deku cosplaying the Strawhat’s beloved cook, Vinsmoke Sanji.

The My Hero Academia finale announcement was shared to X where a follow-up YouTube link (5:50) included a comment from Kohei Horikoshi himself. The My Hero Academia storyteller said the following:

Sorry for the two-week hiatus. Due to various schedule conflicts, it became like a mille-feuille, but it will be completed in 5 episodes. Opinions may differ as to whether you think there are still 5 episodes left or only 5 episodes left, but both will enjoy it. I’ll do my best for the next 5 episodes.

I had a rough time with Deku and the others, but the only reason I was able to draw Deku and the others for nearly 10 years was because you continued reading. Thank you so much. See you in the jump.

As for Eiichiro Oda, he has kept a tight lip on the cover appearance and what it will entail. Time will tell, but fans are certain it will have its nostalgic and iconic charm thanks to his talented hand.
