The No Name Manga will be available on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website from July 31st, 2024. Shueisha will also publish the series in English across their MANGA Plus website and app.
A New Dark Action Shonen
Rafal Jaki, the creator, released a one-shot version of the No Name manga on January 26th, 2024, on Shonen Jump+ and MANGA Plus. However, it will now be available in English and Japanese from July 31st, 2024.
No Name (which also goes by ‘No\Name’) is a brand-new action mystery series set in Northern Europe. In this world, a person gets supernatural powers based on their name assigned to them by the government. The series follows a man who fights with a wolf companion and a werebear girl, and the trio begins to investigate a missing child’s case for a naming agency run by the government.
If the name Rafal Jaki sounds familiar… it very well may be. He is the Executive Producer and Creator of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime. Rafi was also the Business Development Director for Cyberpunk 2077, and the Lead Developer and Executive Producer for the Witcher Old World board game. He also played a part in the development of the Gwent mini-game, and the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt + Expansions.
The one-shot version won the MANGA Plus Creators’ first-ever Gold Award and received a cash prize of approximately US$6,800 shortly after its release. This marked the first time a manga won the Gold Award since its introduction in September 2022. The Gold Award recognizes only some of the best manga works.
