The Novelous app is now available to download! You can read an array of works on your chosen device from the popular manga and light novel publisher, Shogakukan.
Not only can you read new stories and fan favourites, but readers can also review and rate a wide variety of series.
It’s a great app for keeping track of what you’re reading, finding new and old manga/light novels, and joining communities! Check it out on the App Store and Google Play.
A Game-changing Reading App
As of right now, the Novelous app has 80 series in total to view, with plans to add many more in the future. You can find a list of all available manga and light novels by visiting the app’s official website!
A feature of the application that I adore is the addition of speech bubbles and character portraits within the light novels.
Instead of speech marks, it appears like a text messaging conversation whenever there’s dialogue. With no art to look at, this feature makes it easier than ever to keep track of which characters are talking and who they are.
An upcoming competition will see writers in the West creating unique stories that have a chance to be published on the Novelous app. This is part of the plan to release original and new titles to the platform, as well as those we’re already familiar with.
What Has Shogakukan Published?
If you’re considering downloading the Novelous app, I’ll share some of the best series you can find in the extensive library, as well as my personal favourites.
Manga series such as Zom 100, Mob Pyscho 100, Doraemon, Komi Can’t Communicate, Detective Conan, and Frieren are available to read on Novelous.
My highlight is Firefly Wedding, which is a darkly historic romantic story that every Shoujo and Josei fan should try out.
