SweetChiel started developing the Nusantara Bermuda Triangle back in 2016, and it is now finally available to play. The game is inspired by Indonesia, and is set in the same world as the studio’s other game, Nusantara: Legend of The Winged Ones. However, Nusantara Bermuda Triangle is not a sequel, so players don’t have to worry about playing Legend of The Winged Ones to understand the storyline.
A Crater In The Bermuda Triangle
The story of Nusantara takes players to the year 20XX when a crater appears in the Bermuda Triangle due to a worldwide earthquake. This carving in the Earth has a mysterious force surrounding it, and when people went to investigate it, they claimed it felt like an ‘invisible wall’. Since the earthquake, there has been an increase in spiritual events, including rare sightings of mythical creatures.
Players take the stage as the main protagonist, Maya, a nineteen-year-old girl who is busy working with her father to try and make a living. She lives a simple life and enjoys dancing and tarot card reading in her spare time. One day, calamity strikes when a Goddess visits Maya and explains that her family will soon perish in a horrific accident. She offers to save her family, in exchange for Maya closing the crater. If Maya agrees, she must visit The Forgotten Isles to find out why the crater appeared and find a solution.
On Maya’s unusual journey, three men join her: Arya, Kah’lil, and Guntur. They act as bodyguards, and they each have a wish they want Maya to grant for them. Once players complete their routes, a final route with a final enticing bachelor will be unlocked.
Nusantara Bermuda Triangle is an immersive game. Featuring an interactive map, timed and regular choices, animated scenes and backgrounds, as well as an encyclopedia that updates with facts about Indonesia and its culture.
