One Piece has unveiled a new project in the works titled One Piece Base. This upcoming app features a trailer that’s been passed around X and YouTube recently. Not much is known about what the app entails, though some theories circulate amongst fans based on the preview video.

One Piece Base appears as a seemingly simple yet elegant design to archive the Manga for readers. With roughly 1100 Manga chapters across 108 physical volumes of the story, it is overwhelming to keep up with. The app trailer arrived with the message “All your adventures in one app.

This leads to the strong speculation that One Piece Base serves as a hub for new and veteran readers to keep up with the Manga through an app. The likelihood of the app being free is slim, with One Piece Base possibly being a one-time purchase or subscription-based. However, it’ll certainly be cheaper than collecting all the physical volumes. Silver linings and all that.

One Piece Base may also be a project to deter fans from indulging in the Manga leaks and continue supporting the mastermind behind One Piece, Eiichiro Oda and his team. Some fans also speculate that to sweeten the deal alongside the Manga archive will be illustrations and other works from Eiichiro Oda of the One Piece cast.

Other One Piece Projects

One Piece has dubbed all fans as Luffy the way they’ve been overfed this year with a huge variety of content. Not only has the anime reached its final arc, but more projects continue to tinker away behind the scenes.

Amongst these is the WIT Studio remake of the Anime, condensing the 25-year-long series into fewer episodes per arc. The remake stunts modern animation with a new team led by Masashi Koizuka who directed Attack on Titan. As well as this, One Piece recently took the Guinness World Record for most DVDs released by a serial Anime TV programme.
