While the news for the Oshi No Ko live adaptation isn’t fresh, there’s a pretty big update in regards to the upcoming series! We have 6 new, albeit short, teaser videos covering the main characters.

Despite the live adaptation having 8 episodes, it looks like the show covers the first 5 arcs. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘2.5D play’ arc is included in the sequel movie that’s set to release in December in Japan. After all, the second season of the anime adaptation starts with this arc too!

The Twins

Firstly, let’s discuss the teaser videos for the twins. From Aqua’s short trailer, the main highlights are seeing him taking part in the reality TV show with Akane, and a short clip of him dressed up for the 2.5D play, Tokyo Blade.

As for Akane, we don’t get to see much of what her involvement in the live series will be. This is probably because she’ll be coming in later on for the Dating Show arc, where she ‘dates’ Aqua for the cameras.

Ruby’s trailer features footage of her with the B-Komachi girls and the ambitious beginnings of her idol career.

The B-Komachi Girls

Kana’s backstory seems to be a main focus for her character in the live adaptation, as well as the first flutterings of her crush on Aqua.

We also see her adapting to her new life as an idol in B-Komachi with Ruby and Memcho. From the teaser, Kana’s actress (Nanako Hara) already seems to be getting the character’s mannerisms and attitude down expertly!

My favourite character Mem-cho also has a teaser video now, which I’m super happy about, as it looks like the actress (Ano) has done a perfect job of bringing her to life. She’s exactly how I imagine Mem-cho to be in real life!

Ai Yoshino

We can’t have Oshi No Ko without Ai Yoshino, which is why she also has a teaser video now! Played by Asuka Saito, the live adaptation undoubtedly covers the prologue arc, which shows the beginning of her story.

I’m really looking forward to seeing the concert videos of Ai, as I can already see from the trailer that a lot of effort’s been put into the stage production!

While you wait for the Oshi No Ko live adaptation to release in Japan in November, don’t miss out on the Uzumaki anime! It’s now got a premiere date.
