Staffs are the primary weapon of Magicians and Priests. They’re imbued with mana to perform magical attacks at close and long-range, and making steady progression to own the best one is key to survival in the wilds. Rune Slayer Staffs Guide

Let’s get right into it!

Early-game Staffs

Low level players can wield these Staffs, deal minimum damage output, and contain small stat enhancers.

  • Oak Staff
    • Crafted using x4 Oak Logs
    • Physical DMG: 4
    • +4 Intellect
  • Pine Staff
    • Crafted using x4 Pine Logs and x2 Iron Bars
    • Physical DMG: 6
    • +8 Intellect
  • Root Staff
    • Dropped by the Mandrake King Boss
    • Physical DMG: 8
    • +10 Intellect

Mid-game Staffs

These Staffs will likely be ones Magicians and Priests become very comfortable with whilst working towards owning their ideal late-game Staff. They’re hardier than the early-game, but have a long way to go stat-wise.

  • Slime Staff
    • Crafted using x2 Pine Logs, x4 Slime Chunks, and x1 Slime Core
    • Physical DMG: 8
    • +12 Intellect
    • Melee attacks dealt to poisonous enemies restore a portion of the player’s health.
  • Lakewood Staff
    • Crafted using x4 Lakewood Logs and x2 Platinum Bars
    • Physical DMG: 10
    • +16 Intellect
  • Spectre Staff
    • Crafted using x4 Pine Logs and x4 Ectoplasm
    • Physical DMG: 10
    • +14 Intellect
    • +8 Spirit
    • Chance to perform a spectre bolt with every dealt hit.

Late-game Staffs

The strongest Staffs in Rune Slayer! These elite few have tricky obtainments but pay off massively with their generous stats and enhancers.

  • Imp Staff
    • Crafted using x4 Elderwood Logs, x2 Demon Claws, and x1 Imp Tail
    • Physical DMG: 10
    • +16 Intellect
    • +8 Spirit
    • +10% Fire Attack DMG
  • King Slime Staff
    • Crafted using x1 Gold Bar, x10 Slime Cores, and x1 Slime Staff
    • Physical DMG: 11
    • +23 Intellect
    • +2 Spirit
    • Melee attacks dealt to poisonous enemies restore a portion of the player’s health.
  • Arachnids Staff
    • Crafted using x2 Ashwood Logs, x1 Spider Gem, and x1 Spider Staff
    • Physical DMG: 11
    • +26 Intellect
    • +4 Spirit
    • +1% Magic Crit Chance
    • Each magic hit has a chance to conjure a pool of venom beneath an enemy.
