The Stardew Valley 1.6 Update will finally be released to consoles on November 4th, 2024. It brings a ton of new content for players, and fans couldn’t be more excited to have it available on all platforms.
Aside from PC, the update will be available on Nintendo Switch, mobile (including Android and iOS), Xbox One and Series X/S, PS4, and PS5. Although the developer hasn’t announced an exact release time for the console update, previous ones have launched around 6–7 pm GMT.
The creator, ConcernedApe, announced on his official X account that all consoles will also receive a 1.6.9 update on the 4th of November. This update focuses on bug fixes and doesn’t include any major updates like the 1.6 update.
What Does Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Include?
First released on March 19th, 2024 on PC, update 1.6 provides a variety of content. Including a new three-day festival alongside two smaller festivals. A new event in summer, the mastery system, and Meadowlands Farm.
Alongside bigger changes, ConcernedApe has added more dialogue for characters and given them winter outfits to wear during the season. Smaller changes include maps, NPCs, house renovations, and many new items.
Will There Be More Updates?
ConcernedApe announced on social media that he “Could keep working on the game forever.” Although there are no plans for a new major update coming soon, the creator has talked about his new game, Haunted Chocolatier.
