Superprism Games Releases a New Promo Video and Event for Illusion Connect

Illusion Connect, Superprism’s highly acclaimed shojo RPG, is getting a new event this week. On top of that, the studio has created an awesome new promo video that sets up the game’s story.

In case you’ve somehow managed to avoid it, Illusion Connect is a stunning, star-studded gacha RPG that hit the mobile app stores at the end of October, after generating an incredible 600,000 pre-registrations.

It sees you summoning a cast of 50 Radiants and then splitting your time between battling with them against the forces of evil and hanging out with them back at your base.

Each of the game’s Radiants has her own unique personality, backstory, and hobbies. They all have their own looks, too, and their own individual strengths and weaknesses in battle.

And you can develop these strengths not only through the usual route of levelling up and upgrading, but by socializing. In a unique and engaging twist, the more you get to know your Radiants, the more powerful they’ll become.

Superprism’s new promo video sets the action up perfectly, explaining how there’s a real world and a parallel Dream World.

One day, the villainous Frantiva manages to cross the boundary between these worlds using a lens. She promptly starts attacking Bloomsea City, where the game is set, until Saya senses the aura of danger and confronts her.

A fight ensues, and Saya loses. Just as Frantiva is about to deliver the killer blow, her sister Angela appears with her shield and parries Frantiva’s spear.

Now it’s two against one, but still Frantiva comes out on top. This time, it’s up to Phoebe to intervene, and she descends from the sky with a fireball to turn the tide of battle. At last, the two sides are evenly matched.

Then the final boss Rotania shows up and escalates the crisis to the point that the whole world is in peril. Damn.

Once you’ve feasted your eyes on the video, you can check out the Eternal Snowflake event, which begins at the end of December and introduces new event stages, daily trials, and a variety of festive materials like snow candy and ice eggs.

Plus, as a special wintery treat, there are new skins for Angela and Frantiva. Download Illusion Connect for free on the App Store and the Google Play Store
