Tencent Games had announced a whole slew of upcoming games at its latest Tencent Games Annual Conference 2021. Here are some of the bigger titles that we can look forward to play in the near future.
Story of Seasons Mobile (牧場物語MOBILE)
Tencent Games have been working with Marvelous to developed the mobile version of Story of Seasons since the first announcement in 2019. The pre-registration campaign is happening now.
Metal Slug Awakening (越南大戰 覺醒)
Next up we have a new Metal Slug game that is officially licensed by SNK called Metal Slug Awakening. The game will hold its first Close Beta test this coming June.
Project Fighter
Project Fighter is a new One Piece mobile game developed by Tencent together with Bandai Namco. This is a side-scrolling Action RPG developed with Unreal Engine 4.
I am MT 5 (我叫MT5)
I am MT 5 is now under development and the team is recruiting Players to help in the development process. Interested Players will be involved in the Art design, world design, game play and combat design. The game will hold its first Limited Beta Test this August.
One Punch Man (一拳超人 正義執行)
A new One Punch Man game is in the works. This a 3D turn-based RPG with nice CG animation added to the character’s skills.
The game looks really good and I really hope this will make it to the English market.
Digimon: New Century (数码宝贝：新世纪)
Digimon: New Century is a turn-based RPG based on the Digimon IP. The game held a beta test last year and from the gameplay videos that I’ve watched, the game actually reminds me of a certain Summoners game that I’ve been playing for a long time. Hopefully, we’ll see the game release this year.
The Westward Burning Soul (西行纪 燃魂)
Lastly, we have The Westward Burning Soul a game that is based on a TV animation – The Westward. The show itself is based on Journey to the West IP and Season 5 will be releasing this June.
