The House of Da Vinci 3, the Room-Esque Environmental Puzzler, Is Out Now on iOS

The House of Da Vinci 3 – the final game in the lauded House of Da Vinci series – is out now on iOS.

Developed by Slovak-Czech developer Blue Brain Games, The House of Da Vinci 3 picks up the narrative thread where the previous left off.

Leonardo is missing, Giacomo is in trouble, and you still have no idea where the secretive Ordo lustitialis sect fits in.

It’s time to solve some puzzles.

For the uninitiated, The House of Da Vinci games are 3D adventure puzzlers set in renaissance Italy, and starring Leonardo Da Vinci.

They see you solving a succession of clever, intricate, gorgeously rendered environmental puzzles, often using a time-hopping device called the Oculua Perpetua.

Some puzzles  are confined to little puzzlebox devices, while others are arrayed across entire rooms or external environments.

They’re all visually impressive and mentally demanding.

As you’d expect from a series finale, this time around everything has been dialled up to 11. The controls have been tweaked to make them even smoother than before, the puzzles are even more ingeniously constructed, and the whole thing looks great.

In fact, The House of Da Vinci 3 sees the introduction of motion capture, for that added dash of cinematic flair and historical realism.

In case you didn’t already know, The House of Da Vinci is one of the most acclaimed puzzle game series on the planet.

Alongside The Room, its closest competitor in terms of quality and style, it boasts an incredible 4.8 user rating on the App Store, and millions of downloads. That makes it one of the most successful games ever to have come out of Central Europe.

All in all, that makes downloading The House of Da Vinci an absolute no-brainer.

You can buy it right now on the App Store. Versions for Switch, Android, PC, and Mac will be along in due course.
