This Type Soul Essences Guide explains what essence is and how to obtain it. Some are only available for certain factions, but don’t worry! I’ll explain who can use what, and list all the skills you get from each essence.

Type Soul Essences Guide
If you want an essence, you have to participate in either Clan Wars or Ranked matches. Once you have one, you must have 40 points in the matching Skill Tree to equip the essence.
All Faction Essences
- Horizon Core
- Dash towards an opponent to strike. There is also a chance you can ragdoll them
- Unseen Blade
- This is an Advanced Flashstep that allows you to slash opponents and send them flying into the air
- Extricate
- Stab yourself (ouch!) which makes you lose 30% damage. However, this creates red orbs that target enemies and deal damage when coming into contact with them
- Territorial Mark
- Claim what is yours! Place a mark on your opponent which puts them into a state where only you can hit them. This also means only they can hit you too
- Crazed Blitz
- Use a Hyper Armor Grab, which knocks enemies back and deals high damage
Quincy Essences
- Shattered Comet
- Fire an arrow into the air which changes into shards of Reiastu. They will rain down and explode when coming into contact with something
- True Blut
- Use both Blut and Arterie at the same time to boost your abilities
- Obtain Breath VFX
Soul Reaper Essences
- Gran Raikoho
- Hit enemies with energy and temporarily stun them
- If you manage to use this on more than one opponent, the overall damage is increased
- Raging Reiatsu
- Reiatsu overflows in you, which allows you to bypass the downtime of your Bankai
- Obtain Breath VFX
- Teppusatsu
- Summon a beam of Reiatsu and fire it in the direction of where your mouse is on the screen
Arrancar Essences
- Partial Essence
- Unlock three new Partial Skills
- Duo Essence
- Create two cero paths, both having a 20% cooldown reduction. When using one path, the other path gets a five-second cooldown
- Bala Fireworks
- Fire Bala projectiles that hit anyone nearby
- Fusion Essence
- M1: Use three True Vastocar variants at the same time if you fuse with a nearby Arrancar
- M2: Sacrifice 30% of HP to get a damage buff and a randomly selected True Vastocar variant
