Type Soul Wheel of Adaptation Guide

The Wheel of Adaptation sits atop a player’s head with a cog-like appearance. This Mythical rarity item has the following in-game description: “Once a forbidden relic used by the first Head Captain, Guap Feng. Allowed him to adapt to any situation—8% Def.

When equipped, the Wheel of Adaptation applies a +8% Defence to the player mimicking Mahoraga from the JJK series. Mahoraga can adapt to incoming attacks and take no damage after some turns. Whilst this isn’t the exact effect in Type Soul, the Def buff is still rather generous.

Obtaining The Wheel of Adaptation

The Mythical Wheel of Adaptation drops from two bosses; Min Starrk, King of Hueco Mundo and Dark Feng, Head Captain. Both bosses which drop the Wheel of Adaptation have two battle phases and use unobtainable moves during combat.

  • Min Starrk Potential Drops:
    • Starrk Pelt – +5 HP, +2.5% DEF, +5 Reiatsu, +1.5% Reiatsu Regen
    • Min Starrk Mask – +6 HP, +5 Posture, +6 Reiatsu
    • Wheel of Adaptation – +8% Defence
  • Dark Feng Potential Drops:
    • Feng Star – +5 HP, +2% Reiatsu Regen
    • Dark Feng Headband – +7 HP, +1.5% Reiatsu Regen
    • Wheel of Adaptation – +8% Defence

Alternatively, if you’re fresh out of luck and struggling to grind for the extremely rare Wheel, you can try trading for it. Other players will expect a lot for their Wheel of Adaptation given its low drop chance and decent buffers. But, if you have an item you’re willing to part with of equal value it could save you the hassle of the hunt!

What Happened To The Item?

Don’t worry, the Wheel of Adaptation can still be obtained. However, the buffs from this wearable have been slightly nerfed. This item used to apply a 15% Defence buff to the wearer, but this has dropped to a meek 8%, almost a 50% decrease!
