Webzen, the company behind the brilliant MU Online and R2 Online MMOs has announced a brand-new game at the Summer Comiket 2024 at the Tokyo International Exhibition Centre. It’s called TERBIS and it’s definitely one worth keeping an eye on.
The game is a PC/Mobile cross-platform character-collecting RPG that’s being developed in-house at Webzen, and it features some gorgeous anime-style graphics and animation that really pop off the screen.Â
It’s set in the world of TERBIS, a contraction of the Latin words “Terra” (earth) and “Orbis” (cycle), where fantasy and dreams mix together to create a realm the likes of which you’ve never seen before.
TERBIS also offers real-time combat for players, with different characters bringing different skills, speed, relationships and characteristics to the table. All of the characters have unique backstories to draw you deeper into the experience.
At Summer Comiket 2024, visitors to the TERBIS booth in the West hall were treated to a lively atmosphere, photo zones and a lot of exclusive freebies. Those included TERBIS shopping bags, cute fans to combat the heat and more.Â
The recent TERBIS event was a dynamic celebration too, with the crowd enthusiastically engaging with impressive cosplayers dressed as characters from the game. The event buzzed with photo opportunities, lively votes, interactive surveys, and an array of exclusive TERBIS goodies up for grabs for all who joined the festivities.
Comiket is an annual expo held twice a year in Japan, showcasing manga and anime related content. The expo had more than 260,000 people pass through its doors during the two days it was running. That is an awful lot of people.
The Japanese X (formerly Twitter) page for TERBIS is live right now, and you can find it by clicking here. It’s regularly updated with the latest news and information for the game. There’s a Korean Twitter profile too if you are interested.
