2K has recently released a new game that puts pro wrestling and trading cards in the same ring, WWE SuperCard. What makes this game so addictive is that, it is a very simple and straight forward game. Whoever has a higher attribute card, wins.
Gameplay
Unlike most Card games out there, WWE Supercards does not have many fancy mechanics or complicated game rules, it is simply picking the best card (usually your highest rarity card) and build your deck with it.
There are 2 different game modes, Exhibition and King of the Ring. The Exhibition mode is where players will go head-to-head with a random player AI (from a choice of 4). This is also the place to expand your card pool. The winner of the battle will be able to pick 2 cards while the loser will pick 1. The King of the Ring is the game’s season mode where players will be matched against 15 other players in a 2 days long battle. The first 2 places will win 2 random cards from your current rarity tier.
What I really like from the game is its simplicity and its fast-paced action. One Exhibition game takes less than a minute to complete which equates to more drawing of cards. The “battle” animation is kinda cute as the cards itself are performing the wrestling moves (there’s also the ring entrance for your wrestler…I mean card). Players are also able to use props that will boost the stats of your cards during the fight. Most importantly, players will only be grouped with opponents from your same deck tier thus you will never fight against players that’s too Overpowered compared to you.
