This week’s update is a little disappointing especially from the Square Enix camp.
News
Let’s start with some bad news. Final Fantasy Explorers – Force was supposed to launch on the 15 of March. However, due to some technical problems the game had to undergo maintenance even before it could launch. On the 16th, the servers did managed to come up for a while but was later, taken down again. What I heard from people is that there is IP block for Players outside of Japan. However, since the game is still down for maintenance indefinitely, we would have to wait and see if the IP block is going to be permanent.
Kick-Ass and Gamegate have come together to announce the mobile version of Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken. For those of you who don’t know, this is a Light Novel turn Manga series. They have not announced any launch date for the game yet but did mentioned the Anime will be coming Q4 this year. If you haven’t read the Manga, it’s actually pretty interesting!
Digimon fans rejoice! Bandai Namco has announced the pre-registration event for Digimon ReArise! This also mean that the game should be launching soon! The game supports up to 5v5 real-time battle and also a new Digimon just for the series.
The dinosaur taming game, Ark: Survival Evolved will be coming on the mobile devices soon! This on-the-go version features the full online survival experience contained in the PC and console versions of ARK, including a gigantic island to explore, 80+ dinosaurs and primeval creatures to tame and train, multiplayer tribe mechanics, and of course, crafting and building!
FUJISHOJI has released their latest mobile game, 23/7 for early download. It is not known when the game will officially be released. Based on the game trailer, it actually looks like a decent game to look forward to. Stay tuned for the launch article which I’m guessing will appear this week!
4:33 together with WB Games have announced the pre-registration event for DC Unchained. DC fans, finally we have our own Action RPG to look forward to! Pre-register today to unlock free Batman and Joker character.
New Games
Sumzap has announced the launch of their latest mobile game, Sengoku Asura. This is probably the first mobile game I’ve played that is fully co-op basis. Players have to team up with 3 other party members to take on challenging dungeons. The boss fights are actually pretty challenging and almost similar to boss fights in a PC MMORPG. There are telegraphs on the ground that you will need to dodge, skills you need to interrupt and a healer to help support the team.
It’s time to collect your mecha waifus with Nexon’s Master of Eternity. Master of Eternity is a Strategy game where Players make strategic moves to out maneuver your opponent. I have not actually played the game myself but I do know that the game received quite a fair bit of positive comments from the previous Korean version. Give it a try today and let me know how if its fun!
PUBG Mobile is currently running it’s Close Beta Test in Canada. This is the officially licensed game published by Tencent Games. The game is made with Unreal Engine 4 and seeks to produce the original PC experience on your mobile devices. I really enjoy the extra stuff they added for the game such as Daily Quest, Player Rank and Player level. For those of you who have not played the original PUBG (for whatever reason), this is definitely a must try when it launches!
